Nordic Naturals soft gels are relabelled specifically for the Australian market to comply with TGA label regulations. However, you can be assured that the formula inside the bottle is exactly the same as the Nordic Naturals products that are sold internationally. (This is with the exception of the Baby’s DHA – the formula is slightly different to comply with TGA regulations).
The changes you can expect to see between the labels are:
Nordic Naturals softgels are relabelled specifically for the Australian market to comply with TGA label regulations. However, you can be assured that these premium formulas remain exactly the same as the USA/International labels.
Since 2022, all supplements sold in Australia that includes gelatin (included in the soft-gel part of the product) necessitates the declaration of sulfites on the labels.
This initiative is intended to assist those who may be prone to experiencing sensitivity type reactions to sulfite preservatives (such as can sometimes occur when sensitive individuals consume dried fruits).
However please be aware that the actual sulfite content of Nordic Naturals soft gels will remain well below the trace threshold of <10 mg/kg that is used within Australian food regulations, and the amount of sulfites likely consumed through standard daily food consumption is well above the trace amounts that may be present in the soft gel.
If you have allergies or sensitivities to sulfites, the liquid fish oil products do not require any labelling for sulfites and may help to ease any concern you may have.
Nordic Naturals has been a leader in the fish oil industry since 1995, setting standards for purity, freshness, taste, and potency. Their products are non-GMO, sustainably sourced, and tested for purity and potency. No artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives are used, and all formulations are research-supported and responsibly dosed.
