A 12-year-old female patient presented with a rare form of epilepsy which led to seizures occurring 2 – 5 times per day. |
Treatment
The patient was prescribed a number of different forms of Magnesium, including Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate, but for the current consultation, was prescribed a form of Magnesium that was specific for brain function and had the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier: • 50mg once per day |
Outcome
The patient noticed a considerable reduction in her seizures and has increased her dose to 50mg twice a day. The presence of Mycotoxins had also been identified in this patient and further treatment options were being considered. |
