Case Study: Anxiety, Fatigue and Diarrhoea

A 37-year-old male presented with Anxiety and Fatigue, alongside Diarrhoea which was occurring up to 12 times daily.

He also had a past diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis at the age of 21, and was currently prescribed Humira.

In addition, he had recently completed a GI 360 test by Doctors Data Inc.

Treatment

The treatment consisted of a variety of dietary modifications, alongside the addition of multiple supplements, including:

Medi Restore

• Replacement of 1 meal with Medi Restore (made into a smoothie with some leafy greens and berries)

Psyllium husk

• Morning and night (gradually built up to 1 teaspoon twice daily)

Saccharomyces boulardi

• 1 capsule twice daily

Intestinal Support Product

• 2 capsules three times a day for 3 weeks

PHGG (Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum)

• 2 teaspoons in the morning and 1 at teaspoon night

Dietary modifications included an increase in animal protein for two weeks and a low-fat diet focused on the additions of mono and polyunsaturated fats such as avocadoes, Omega 3s and coconut oil.

Outcome

The above treatment plan resulted in improvements in one week and after three weeks, the patient passed moderately formed stools 5 times per day.

Currently, the patient is using fibres and probiotics and passes formed stools 2 or 3 times daily. As a result, his energy has also increased and anxiety has substantially decreased.

The main treatment product, Medi Restore, contains B vitamins, zinc and many other nutrients and herbs to support both gastrointestinal and hepatic pathways in the body, among many others.
